Barrow has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Barrow has 15-25% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice heavily tainted with other substances, which makes it dangerous, corrosive, or toxic. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds may be Hell Worlds.

• The water on the surface may be unsuitable for use or consumption without extensive filtering and purification.
• Refining for fuel may cause issues with shipboard purification plants.

World Starport

Barrow has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Barrowport is located 10km south of the northern ice pack. It has a hostel and an actual "art deco" style hotel. There are a handful of restaurants with varying fare.
