Basic Ship Characteristics[edit]

Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (...of ten subcraft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (...thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]

Basic Ship Characteristics [2]
No. Category Remarks
1. Tonnage / Hull 1,000 tons. Partially streamlined, spherical hull.
2. Crew The 24 crew includes: Pilot, Navigator/Commander, 7 Engineers, Medic, 2 Gunners, 1 Flight Crew, and 11 Marines. The squad of eleven marines has to handle boarding and cargo inspection duties.
3. Performance The performance is Jump-4, with enough fuel for a single jump. The 4-G maneuver drive and 4-Agility are considered by many to be substandard.
4. Electronics The Model 4 fib computer is the bare minimum for the navigational tasks required. The only advantage are the powerful communication jammers, that are included. The passive EMS sensor array is generally rated as poor, especially for target acquisition and resolution.
5. Hardpoints 10
6. Armament The weapon is a 50 ton fusion gun bay, limited in range, but devastating versus smaller craft.
7. Defenses Factor 9 hull armor
8. Craft A 20 ton Launch is used as a utility vehicle and for interface duties.
9. Fuel Treatment The partially streamlined, spherical hull is well armored and equipped with scoops and on board fuel purification for gas giant wilderness refueling.
10. Cost MCr. 722.42 for the prototype
11. Construction Time 120 weeks
12. Comments The twelve low berths can be used for crew replacements and/or extra troops.
