Sector data pages[edit]

The <sector>/data pages were hand generated at some point long ago and are all wildly out of date. The <sector>/sector pages data was (and could be again) generated from the Traveller map data. There was a discussion to delete the data pages, but we were asked to keep them as historical artifacts. So please do not feel obligated to update the <sector>/data pages. Dhughre (world)‎‎ not showing data.[edit]

Fixing world articles in Knoellighz like Dhughre requires the following steps:

  • Go to the <world>/data page. Edit and save the page. No changes are required.
  • Go the the <world> page select the more > purge cache option from the menu.

This should refresh the underlying cargo tables and the article. If you don't have access to the "Purge Cache" option, let me know and I'll check the access for that. Tjoneslo (talk) 18:23, 25 February 2022 (EST)

That was going to be my next attempt - and I didn't realize making a null change could work. Patrick Morris Miller (talk) 19:13, 25 February 2022 (EST)

Ludography ref breaks with no year.[edit]

You wrote: "Did you know this template breaks if the year is missing from the book's infobox?" Not directly, but reviewing the template makes it pretty obvious that it would. I'll need to add a null check to the query to fix the problem.

While convenient, asking questions in the message field for your edits means no one can respond to the message. Which is ok if you don't expect a response. Tjoneslo (talk) 23:33, 28 May 2022 (EDT)

I was honestly being more facetious than anything else, but if it led to something getting fixed that's cool. Patrick Morris Miller (talk) 23:59, 28 May 2022 (EDT)

World pages with duplicate races listed: Fixed[edit]

Thank you for pointing out the broken StellarDataQuery template pages. Root cause was some of the Major races are being translated into Spanish, and the translation process creates duplicate entries in the Sophonts cargo pages. So another condition on the query filters those pages, and everything looks right again.

If you come across any of these pages again, do a purge cache (More menu upper right, then select "purge cache". This may ask to confirm, select OK) and this should correct the output.

Again, thank you for all your hard work. It is appreciated. Tjoneslo (talk) 09:52, 17 December 2022 (EST)
