- The mainworld.
- x7 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belt.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Violante has a standard oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere with a warm climate.
It orbits within its star's habitable zone.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Violante is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Violante has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
- It experiences relatively high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
A simple map of Violante showing the world-ocean, the permanent icecaps, the two major continents, and the various islands and archipelagos. Lowlands are shown in pale green, uplands and mountains are marked in brown, while the vast equatorial forests are depicted in darker green.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Howood is a transplant plant known to grow here.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Violante is owned by a consortium of wealthy nobles from Deneb Sector, whose ancestors, foreseeing a time when the spinward regions of the Imperium would be heavily populated, decided to invest in an unspoiled paradise.
The world population consists of landowners and their families (about 30% of whom live elsewhere for part of the year), supervisory staff, technicians, and servants. [2] The world was parceled into estates with strict controls on population and land use.[2]
Oberlindes Lines and Imperiallines maintain offices at Violante starport. [3]
Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]
Violante, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight.
- See: Nobles of Violante
- Additionally, many off-world nobles own estates on this world and have retreats here.
Historical Data[edit]
Violante was invaded by Kforuzeng allied forces in 1119, and these were still present when the world was declared fait accompli in 1132. The ruling human nobles cut a deal with the corsairs that created a joint power structure. The conflict caused the abandonment of several estates, and these were sold to human and Vargr refugees fleeing Virus. In recent years, these new immigrants have chafed against the governments tight controls over economic development, and guerrilla fighting has erupted in certain regions, prompting Regency intervention. The divisions on the world are primarily class oriented, with poorer immigrant Vargr and Humans allied against the joint Human/Vargr power structure.
