History & Background (Dossier)
The world was originally settled by Imperials, but was pronounced independent as a result of the armistice declared after the Third Frontier War. Quar was regained by the Imperium in the Fifth Frontier War.
Although there is no Imperial Subsector Fleet the Quar system is home to an heavily-defended Imperial Naval Base. The base supports a small flotilla of patrol ships that operate in neutral space as well as some intelligence-gathering vessels.
Era: Milieu 1200
Every other independent world in the League of Spinward States actively petitioned to join. Quar, on the other hand, was actively recruited by the League and only joined after a lengthy courtship, and the League was required to make some concessions to cement the deal. Quar is a very valuable link world connecting the Querion Cluster (and rimward) with the Jewell Covenant (and trailing). It is highly defended, given its extremely exposed position.
