Viscounty of Quar
Description[edit]
A three-world exception to the neat organisation of the Imperial frontier.
Initially organised as a County in all but name, the cluster continued to maintain an independent view throughout it's history.
History[edit]
The Viscounty of Quar was formed on the Imperial border reporting directly to the Emperor and not even officially part of the Duchy of Mora. The split of the Duchy of Mora in 522 regularised that situation and the Viscounty was incorporated into the Duchy of Rhylanor but it continued to hold many of the powers of an Imperial Count despite being "Attached" to the County of Jewell. This situation continued until the First Frontier War after which it was formally integrated into the County of Jewell. The Viscounty moved (still under the County of Jewell) to be part of the Duchy of Regina in 629.
The Viscounty of Quar was extinguished (formally) in 986 as a result of the Third Frontier War.
As a result of the Third Frontier War[edit]
- Viscounty of Quar is extinguished from the County of Jewell
- Quar (Spinward Marches 0808) ceases to be an Imperial world in the Viscounty of Quar and becomes a Client State
- Gougeste (Spinward Marches 0909) ceases to be an Imperial world in the Viscounty of Quar and becomes a Client State
- Plaven (Spinward Marches 0807) ceases to be an Imperial world in the Viscounty of Quar and becomes Non-Aligned
