Neroka is a pre-agricultural and nonindustrial world lacking adequate development for its economy to become prosperous.

  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Ronodik Subsector of Theron Sector.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Neroka is a binary star system.

  • The primary is a yellow main sequence.
  • The secondary is an orange main sequence.
Neroka has two stars in the star system.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.

  • It lies within the zone's prime H region.
  • It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Neroka is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Neroka has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Neroka has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Satellites:[edit]

No information yet available.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.
  • Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
  • Detailed survey data commands premium prices.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Extensive native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Neroka is a quiet and backward backwater, though with some degree of development.

There is little activity within the system.

  • Commercial traffic is very infrequent: ships rarely visit.
  • Commo only picks up natural background noise and static.
  • A single commercial navigation beacon may be active.
  • Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date: additional groups may now inhabit the system and maintain their own culture, forms of government, and systems of law.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Neroka has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

World Demographics (P)[edit]

Neroka has a population of 30,000

Urbanization[edit]

A central urban area surrounded by smaller satellite communities.

  • Outlying areas have a few isolated structures or compounds.
  • Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Neroka possesses a Technology Level of TL–4.

World Government (G)[edit]

Neroka is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to draft the policies voted upon. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by the voting population.

World Military[edit]

Approximately 100 personnel.

World Law (L)[edit]

Neroka has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: 9 (moderate)
  • Labor: 3 (thousands)
  • Infrastructure: 2 (extremely limited)
  • Efficiency: +1 (average)

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: -3 (very unimportant)

World Culture[edit]

  • Homogeneity: 5 (harmonious)
  • Acceptance: 1 (extremely xenophobic)
  • Strangeness: 3 (somewhat typical)
  • Symbols: 3 (very concrete)
