Ingo is a moderate population world with over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts in population size.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Ingo Subsector of Astron Sector.
- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- It is the homeworld of the Wuaye.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Ingo is a binary star system.
- The primary is a yellow-white main sequence.
- The secondary is a tiny white dwarf stellar remnant.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x9 secondary rocky worlds.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's prime H region.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits beyond the star's Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Ingo is a Big World between 15,200km and 16,800km in diameter. The world has a high density and a standard gravity of 1.65G. The horizon will appear about 5.7km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Ingo has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Ingo has 85-95% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few small continents, and a number of islands and archipelagos. Dry land is limited. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Satellites:[edit]
Ingo retains a small very thin atmosphere moon.
- It orbits once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant, diverse native life filling every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Ingo is the "homeworld" of the Wuaye.
- Ingo is a high gravity world.
- The Wuaye are Humans, descended from the survivors of a Rule of Man-era shipwreck.
- They have lived on the world for around three millennia.
- Over the course of 120 generations their physiology has changed from the Human standard.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Ingo has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Ingo has a population of 200,000,000 Wuaye.
Urbanization[edit]
Multiple large urban centers are surrounded by smaller satellite communities.
- Inhabited areas are dotted across the world.
- Large regions of the surface of the world remain as wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Ingo possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
- Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
- Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
- Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government (G)[edit]
Ingo is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Military[edit]
Approximately 500,000 personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Ingo has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 5 (scarce)
- Labor: 7 (tens of millions)
- Infrastructure: 4 (very limited)
- Efficiency: +1 (average)
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -2 (very unimportant)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: B (discordant)
- Acceptance: 6 (aloof)
- Strangeness: 4 (somewhat distinct)
- Symbols: 8 (somewhat abstract)
