Hloeaoaa Subsector is Subsector A of Khaeaw Sector.

  • It lies within Charted Space.
  • It is also known as Kahabad Subsector.
  • It is a remote, sparsely settled frontier.

Description / Specifications[edit]

Hloeaoaa Subsector is a largely unpopulated and undeveloped frontier. Some worlds within the region may never have had an intelligent being visit them.

  • The resources of the subsector are almost entirely untapped.
  • There is limited trade and commerce among its coreward worlds.

Astrographic Features & Trade Routes: 1105[edit]

The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Hloeaoaa Subsector:

  • The subsector is a relatively low stellar density region.
  • The brightest star is the orange giant primary of the Hakhuirua system.
  • The subsector lies on the edge of the Great Rift.
  • Its coreward edge contains the Hloeaoaa Bubble, a cluster of stars lying within Jump-3 of one another.

Stellar Distribution[edit]

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Hloeaoaa Subsector.

  • The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
  • The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.

Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.

  • Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
  • Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

Rift Regions[edit]

Almost all of the subsector lies within the Great Rift.

Locally at least, a rift is an astrographic concept based on Jump Drive performance.

The highest tech level commonly encountered out this Far Along (spinward of the Third Imperium) is TL–12, though a few worlds may be more advanced.

Borealis Group[edit]

The Borealis Group can be seen as a bright, dense, noticeable grouping of stars in the skies to coreward.

Comprehensive Second Survey data for all worlds lying within Hloeaoaa Subsector is available.

  • The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
  • Other sources may differ: some elements of the data may be contradictory or incorrect.
  • Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
  • Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.

AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:

History & Background / Dossier[edit]

Hloeaoaa Subsector is a remote, lightly settled backwater.

The spinward-coreward part of the subsector has been settled by Ihatei Aslan, moving to spinward along the edge of the Great Rift in search of new territories.

  • Settlement has been sporadic, largely occurring between the year 1000 and the 1060s.
  • The region has no official internal organization or governance and is not considered to be a distinct polity.
  • Almost all of the settled worlds are independent and non-aligned, and through necessity are largely self-sufficient.
