The coreward half of this subsector is located within the Great Rift, and contains no stars. The rimward half is part of the Third Imperium.
The vast majority of the subsector population are on Warinir, with secondary concentrations at Imili and Skara, both at jump-2 proximity.

The Edge (Da A) Subsector is defended by 171st Fleet. It makes use of the small but highly skilled orbital naval boatyards at Nyanar.

Edge, subsector A of Daibei has 15 worlds, of which 14 have native gas giants. The estimated population for the subsector is 6 billion sophonts (not necessarily humans). There is one Agricultural (Ag) world versus 2 Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds. There are 8 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds versus no Industrial (In) worlds. There is one Rich (Ri) world versus one Poor (Po) world. There are 3 Water (Wa) and Ocean (Oc) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, no Desert (De) worlds, no Asteroid (As) belts, and 3 Vacuum (Va) worlds. This subsector was outside the boundaries of the Ziru Sirka, and thus the Third Imperium's claim represents expansion from the borders justified by the Warrant of Restoration.
