Cabrera is a poor, nonindustrial world.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- This world has few prospects for economic development.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Star Bridge Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Cabrera has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 gas giant.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Cabrera is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Cabrera has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
- It experiences relatively low temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Cabrera has 15-25% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. There may be a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.
- The world's small seas are littered with icebergs and pack ice.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
Most of the surface water lies in a single large sea, covering around a fifth of the surface, with rugged mountain ranges flanking its shores. Much of the surface is tundra or desert, with occasional lakes. Large icecaps lie at the poles.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive native life occupying a number of ecological niches. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

World Starport[edit]
Cabrera has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Technology Level[edit]
Cabrera possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fission power generation, advanced water and wind generation of electricity.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, early ATV's, and dedicated AFV's.
- Water: Amphibious vehicles, improved submersibles, and early SCUBA gear.
- Air: Early jet aircraft and rotorcraft VTOL's.
- Space: Early unmanned rocket delivery systems and early manned orbital rockets.

The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
