Bytholm is a barren garden world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- It is a garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most sophonts.
- This world is valuable property, as a garden world, and will likely soon be populated...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Evalren Subsector of Theta Borealis Sector.
- It orbits the secondary star.
- It is a chilly tundra world, with a climate of low temperatures.
- Tshi, a secondary world in the system, is home to a community of Tshini.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Bytholm is a binary star system.
- The primary is a turbulent blue-white bright giant named Angriff.
- The secondary is a blue-white main sequence named Pelten.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld (designated as Bytholm, indicated by a red arrow).
- x9 secondary rocky worlds (including inhabited Tshi).
- x1 planetoid belt.
Extended system data is available.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Bytholm orbits towards the outer edge of its star's habitable zone.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Bytholm is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Bytholm has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
- It experiences low temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Bytholm has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- The world's oceans are littered with icebergs and pack ice.
Satellites:[edit]
Bytholm retains two small, heavily cratered vacuum moons named Carvan and Istigor.
- Carvan, the larger of the two moons, has an emergency survival shelter on its surface.
- They orbit once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
A map of Bytholm, the mainworld of the system, showing major bodies of water, large landmasses, major highland regions, and the large polar icecaps.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life filling every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native lifeforms are cryophilic - they thrive in low temperatures.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Bytholm is a frontier, a wild and lonely place that rarely sees visitors. Some of the planets and moons within the system have never had an intelligent being visit them.
- Information about the world is limited.
- The resources of the system are largely untapped.
There is little activity within the system.
- Commercial traffic is very infrequent: ships rarely visit.
- Angriff, the system's gigantic primary star, causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
- The system does not have any commercial navigation beacons.
- Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Tshi, a secondary world within the system, is home to a large community of Tshini, originally native to Zephor in Corelian Subsector. The Tshini were moved following the devastation of their homeworld and the resulting extinction of the Zephora, another sophont species that evolved alongside them.
- Tshi was named by the Tshini. It was previously known as Angholm.
- Few outsiders are aware of this colony and it does not advertise its presence.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Bytholm has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Bytholm is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Bytholm possesses a Tech Level of TL–0.
- The world has no technological base.
World Government (G)[edit]
Bytholm has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
Bytholm has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 2 (very scarce)
- Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 0 (none)
- Acceptance: 0 (none)
- Strangeness: 0 (none)
- Symbols: 0 (none)
