Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Bushido is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Bushido has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Bushido has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

The world has abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Bushido was colonised by Humans in -848. A relatively important and prosperous world, it is located in an unfortunate position, isolated from the main trade routes of the Corellan League. Even with jump-3 drives, a ship would normally use four jumps to reach Centrum but by refuelling at the outer gas giant of Bran's Cage, a parsec away, a ship can make a three parsec jump to Centrum, saving weeks of travel time.

For a thousand years, a rotating task group of CLSF ships out of Bushido has stood guard over the mysterious mainworld of Bran's Cage.

Katrina University Salin Archaeological Initiative (KUSAI) operates out of Bushido; it maintains a permanent research facility at Delta Dome on Salin.

World Starport[edit]

Bushido has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • There is an associated Corellan League Naval Base.

World Population (P)[edit]

Bushido has a population of 50,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).

World Demographics[edit]

Almost all residents are humans of Solomani descent.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The common language is "Corellan Galanglic", a distinct dialect of Anglic.

World Government (G)[edit]

Bushido is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions within the government. These positions are inherited by members of the group or by their relatives. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.

As a full member of the Corellan League, Bushido sends two representatives to the League Assembly, which convenes aboard the Capital Orbital habitat, a station in geosynchronous orbit above Corella.

World Law (L)[edit]

Bushido has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Economy[edit]

The weapons supplier Infiniti Arms maintains a major facility on Bushido.
