Salin is a nonindustrial world, that requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- In a technological universe, societies without industrial capability generally suffer as nearly all manufactured and high tech goods must be brought in at significant cost.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a member of the Corellan League in the Freya Subsector of Beyond Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Near Salin's north pole is a crater, the ejecta of which still carries traces of a megacity-sized Ancients installation. A shattered dome, Delta Dome (as it is the only semi-intact survivor of four), sits atop deep tunnels stretching across many cubic kilometres. For the past four centuries, the Katrina University Salin Archaeological Initiative (KUSAI) out of Bushido has maintained a permanent research facility at Delta Dome.
Bushido would like to annex the system, but the Corellan League considers Salin a dependency of cultural significance held in trust by the entire League, and posts a small ground contingent to protect the site. Perhaps to spite the League, KUSAI issues permits to private applicants to explore the Catacombs.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Salin has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Salin has a population of 30,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
World Demographics[edit]
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The common language is "Corellan Galanglic", a distinct dialect of Anglic.
World Government (G)[edit]
Salin is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
