Bradey is a barren world with no overt population, government, or law level.

  • This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
  • This is a hot world, with a climate of high temperatures.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Bradey is a binary star system.

  • The secondary is a red main sequence.
  • The secondary is a white dwarf stellar remnant

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Bradey is tidally locked to its primary star.

  • It experiences libration - a regular wobble - as it orbits, causing the star to move in the sky.

Twilight Zone World Horizon 5a.jpg

The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.

  • It lies within the zones warmer inner H+ region
  • It receives higher levels of stellar energy.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Bradey is a Small World between 2,400km and 4,000km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.1G and 0.17G. The horizon will appear about 2.5km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Bradey has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

The world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.

  • Oxygen is produced by photocatalytic conversion of surface materials by stellar energy.
  • Fresh surface material is constantly exposed through processes such as seismic activity, volcanism, or erosion.
  • The oxygen rapidly depletes from the atmosphere through oxidization with surface materials: a rough equilibrium between production and depletion exists.
  • The world has a low oxygen taint: the percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere varies according to the density of global cloud cover.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Bradey has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water. There will be a number of small seas or one larger body of water. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

No native life: the world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Bradey is a wilderness, a wild and lonely place that almost never sees visitors. Most of the planets and moons within the system have never been visited by an intelligent being.

  • Information about the system is limited.
  • The resources of the system are untapped.

There is normally no activity within the system.

  • Commercial traffic is non-existent: the system almost never sees visiting ships.
  • Commo only picks up natural background noise and static.
  • The system does not have any commercial navigation beacons.
  • Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date: previously undocumented groups may now inhabit the system and maintain their own culture, forms of government, and systems of law.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Bradey does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.

World Population (P)[edit]

Bradey is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Bradey possesses a Tech Level of TL–0.

  • The world has no technological base.

World Government (G)[edit]

Bradey has no government or ruling authority of any kind.

World Law (L)[edit]

Bradey has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: -3 (very unimportant)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: 4 (scarce)
  • Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
  • Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
  • Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)

World Culture[edit]

  • Homogeneity: 0 (none)
  • Acceptance: 0 (none)
  • Strangeness: 0 (none)
  • Symbols: 0 (none)
