Augur is a poor, non-agricultural and nonindustrial world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It has few prospects for economic development. Life here is drastically bleak.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Oscuro Subsector of Mavuzog Sector.
- This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Augur has a solitary primary star.
- It is a yellow-white subdwarf named Disappoint.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x10 secondary rocky worlds.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones colder outer H- region.
- It receives lower levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits inside the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Augur is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Augur has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- The world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
- Oxygen is produced by photocatalytic conversion of surface materials by stellar energy.
- Fresh surface material is constantly exposed through processes such as seismic activity, volcanism, or erosion.
- The oxygen rapidly depletes from the atmosphere through oxidization with surface materials: a rough equilibrium between production and depletion exists.
- The percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere varies according to the density of global cloud cover.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Augur has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.
- The world experiences low temperatures.
- Much of the surface is covered in glaciers, pack ice, and ice sheets.
Satellites:[edit]
Augur retains a tiny planetoid moon.
- Its surface is cratered and irregular
- It orbits once every few days.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
No native life: the world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
No information yet available.
World starport[edit]
Augur has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World technology level[edit]
Augur possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fission power generation, advanced water and wind generation of electricity.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, early ATV's, and dedicated AFV's.
- Water: Amphibious vehicles, improved submersibles, and early SCUBA gear.
- Air: Early jet aircraft and rotorcraft VTOL's.
- Space: Early unmanned rocket delivery systems and early manned orbital rockets.
World government[edit]
Augur is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referendum, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
World military[edit]

World Economy[edit]
- Resources 8 (Moderate)
- Labor 5 (Hundreds of thousands)
- Infrastructure 2 (Very limited)
- Efficiency +0 (Average)
Trade Data[edit]

World Demographics[edit]
Population 9,000,000
World Culture[edit]
