Voskhod Subsector is Subsector A of Vland Sector.
- It is largely controlled by the Imperial Domain of Vland.
- It is located within Charted Space.
Description (Specifications)
Voskhod Subsector is a long settled region, divided between the Imperial Domain of Vland, and a few neutral human and Vargr-dominated worlds. Originally settled by the Ziru Sirka and then controlled by the Rule of Man, it was partially conquered by the Vargr prior to the Long Night and has remained as a frontier since that time.
- It has been developed and exploited for millennia.
Astrographic Features
The following astrographic features and trade routes can be found within this subsector:
- It is a standard stellar density region.
- The brightest star is the white main sequence primary of the Aakhorn system.
- Xboat Hubs are located at Shaddukan, Voskhod, and Kunumi.
Stellar Distribution
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Voskhod Subsector.
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
- The Vedhaaez Cluster, a minor trade route, lies along its coreward edge.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map).
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
Trade Routes (Economic Astrography)
One trade route lies within the region:
Vedhaaez Cluster
The Vedhaaez Cluster, a small Main, winds through the coreward half of the subsector.
- High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels moving along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map)
- Worlds lying on the Main are highlighted in green.
- Vedhaaez, the namesake of the cluster, is marked in red.
Subsector Summary
Voskhod, subsector A of Vland contains 36 worlds with an estimated population of 12 billion, a per capita income of Cr2,681, and a total economy is BCr32,228. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr2,527 through 27 starports (4 Class A, 11 Class B, 9 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 541,615 people. Driving this interstellar trade are seven Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, six Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, five Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Voskhod maintain eight Scout bases, five Naval bases, and one Way station. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 11). The highest technology level is 14 at Voskhod (Vland 0708).
Voskhod, subsector A of Vland contains 52 stars and 388 identified planets; 21 monostellar systems, 14 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 36 systems (69%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, one Desert (De) world, four Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, five Poor (Po) worlds, five Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Voskhod has an estimated population of 12 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 17 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, eight Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Kegirur (Vland 0804) and Voskhod (Vland 0708). The population consists of 2 sophont groups.

Third Imperium, Domain of Vland
The Third Imperium, Domain of Vland has jurisdiction over 32 worlds with an estimated population of 2 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,316, and a total economy is BCr15,520. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr2,527 through 24 starports (4 Class A, 10 Class B, 8 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 541,530 people. Driving this interstellar trade are six Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, five Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Third Imperium, Domain of Vland maintain eight Scout bases, five Naval bases, and one Way station. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 14 at Voskhod (Vland 0708).
The Third Imperium, Domain of Vland has an estimated population of 2 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, four Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 15 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, eight Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Voskhod (Vland 0708). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.
- The Third Imperium, Domain of Vland subsector capital of Voskhod is Voskhod (Vland 0708)

There are two Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Voskhod with an estimated population of less than 1 million.
Non-Aligned, Vargr-dominated
There are two Non-Aligned Vargr-dominated worlds in Voskhod with an estimated population of 9 billion.
World Listings
Comprehensive Second Survey UWP data for all worlds lying within the subsector is available.
- The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
- Other sources may contain contradictory or incorrect information.
Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, is likely to be out of date.
- Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
- Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.

Major Historical Events Timeline
Major events that have affected this subsector and the wider region that it lies within:
- -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka claims and settles worlds across the region.
- -2404 to -2215: the Interstellar Wars.
- -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man administers the worlds of the region. Conflicts escalate between Vargr and humans as the Vargr occupy former Ziru Sirka territory.
