Gadde (Subsector) Synopsis

Astrographically, this unremarkable subsector is a collection of small clusters.

Description

The Gadde Subsector is defended by 219th Fleet.

Gadde, subsector L of Dagudashaag, contains 37 worlds with an estimated population of 19 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,756, and a total economy of BCr113,510. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr230 through 34 starports (6 Class A, 10 Class B, 16 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 36,175 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, three Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Gadde maintain 14 Scout bases, ten Naval bases, and one Naval depot. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Depot (Dagudashaag 3121) and Kan (Dagudashaag 3126).

Gadde, subsector L of Dagudashaag, contains 54 stars and 362 identified planets; 21 monostellar systems, 15 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 27 of the 37 systems (72%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, five Desert (De) worlds, three Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, 11 Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and four Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Gadde has an estimated population of 19 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, 19 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 11 Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Khusgulur (Dagudashaag 2525), Dummur (Dagudashaag 2529), and Shea (Dagudashaag 2927). The population consists primarily of 6 sophont groups including one native sophont.

History & Background (Dossier)

The most notable feature of this area is the large number of Imperial Navy bases between Shea (Dagudashaag 2927) and Khusgulur (Dagudashaag 1525).

  • Established because of a serious problem with piracy and privateering in this region during the early years of the Imperium, these bases now serve as a marshaling area for naval exercises, and for fleet travelling to or from the Depot.
