Ssi has a ideal environment and a balance of available water for producing food from plants, animals, or other forms. The system supports a population in the 100's of millions, which makes it too urbanized to make it an agricultural world. Government control of this world is by an external military force. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Mimu Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Lancian Cultural Region and the Domain of Vland. Ssi, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a baronet, and the feifdom of a viscount. All three are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships. During the Long Night this world was named Uummairkuur.

History and background
Ssi is a long inhabited S'mrii world whose government is run by the ConSentiency from Mimu (Dagudashaag 0208). After ten thousand years it seems that the S'mrii of Ssi have no wish to pick up the actual government of their world themselves. When asked why they do not wish to govern themselves the S'mrii reply 'why should we do something that others are willing to do for us?' This attitude runs through all of society on Ssi, if you want something done then you must do it yourself because no-one else will do it for you.
