Susanawo is a nonindustrial water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.

  • The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below standard for Charted Space.
  • A Prison World, exile camp, or prison camp for criminals or other exiles is located upon this world in addition to other points of interest.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Gazulin Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector in the Domain of Deneb.

Description / Astrography & Planetology

Susanawo is notorious for its megastorms, so intense they have caused mass extinctions.

  • The few inhabitants live in tunnels and caves to escape the enslaught.
  • The storms are the result of massive ongoing volcanic activity throwing dust and heat into the air, and the planet’s eccentric orbit.
  • The Great Storm covers a fifth of the planet’s surface and has circled the globe once every four months for the last two centuries.
Susanawo has a solitary primary star.
