Vreibefger has a breathable, habitable atmosphere and a reasonable amount of surface water. The system supports a population in the hundreds of thousands of sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world has the Imperial Research Station Epsilon for the Sector. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Lanth Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Vreibefger, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.

Native Lifeforms

The most well-known native species is the icebear, a ferocious-looking shaggy quadruped that weighs 135 kg and is occasionally hunted for its fur. The icebears are herbivorous and generally harmless, but when angered can be quite dangerous.

The Naval Base hosts elements of the 18th Fleet.

Research Station Epsilon is located at a remote site on-planet, in the crater of an extinct volcano in the Molars, a peculiarly squared-off mountain range.
