Canon
At the spin-rimward boundary of the Imperium, this subsector is also on the coreward edge of the Outrim Void. Pax Rulin subsector is administered from Glisten, and the Imperial presence in this subsector amounts to little more than a string of military installations defending the Imperial border -- other than these, life is very much in the independent frontier mould.
The Senlis Foederate is a small independent trading and defense alliance, and the first stage of a known jump route across the Void. The worlds of Kydde and Bantral, both within the Void, have a high agricultural status and have trade connections with the Foederate and the Imperium.
The subsector is defended by the 201st Fleet.

Non-canon
Several worlds further rimward of Pax Rulin were settled by various 1st and 2nd Imperium groups from -2300 to -1700. Around -1700, secondary colonization from some of these worlds, notably Old Sindal, began to move into what are now Pax Rulin and Egyrn subsectors. All these worlds subsequently regressed to isolated low- or mid-tech societies.
By 400, a few of these worlds had recovered Pre-Stellar or even Early Stellar technology, but many remained at Pre-Industrial levels and the Scouts had interdicted them to protect the indigenous cultures. The subsector was unofficially known as the Perrior subsector after Perrior, its most advanced world at the time. A scout base, named after the famous 1st Century explorer Pax Rulin, had been established on an unclaimed world, chosen for its central position within jump-3 of a number of former Sindalian Empire worlds. This world became the center for Imperial activity in the subsector and, taking name after the original base, eventually grew into the populous subsector capital of Pax Rulin.
Alternate non-canon
Named for the sprawling Naval Facility at Pax Rulin (Trojan Reach 2204) (Peace Rules in an ancient Solomani Dialect). Settled originally by Vilani fleeing corridor after the First Imperium retreated from the Vargr in the centuries around -2100. All of these original Vilani colonies died out except the one at Caraz (2306 E111959-A). Subsequent waves of settlers during the Rule of Man re-settled Cyan (2102 C4699B9-B). It wasn't until after the First Frontier War however that the subsector was populated in any numbers by settlers from the Third Imperium.
The subsector is divided politically into three powers, the Imperium, Imperial Client States and the Senlis Foederate. Since 001-1117 Imperial interests in the subsector have been represented by Duke Roget Parker from the subsector capital at Perrior. Prior to that date the subsector was administered from Glisten.
A strong naval presence is maintained at major worlds to guard the main jump-3 route from the Spinward Marches to the Aslan Hierate, the jump-2 route being through Gazulin Subsector (Subsector D Trojan Reach).
