The Demon Cluster is a dispersed cluster of stars lying on the rimward edge of the Empty Stars.

Details / Specifications

The Demon Cluster is a large grouping of stars centered on Halcyon Sector and Far Home Sector, and covering parts of Bourne Sector, Course Sector, Deep Sector, Divide Sector, Gulf Sector, and Shadow Rift Sector. It is bounded by the Moat Rifts to spinward, coreward and trailing, and by the Great Void to rimward. It is dominated by the Demon's Eye, a blue supergiant star.

History

The Demon Cluster was settled by human refugees, fleeing the Destruction of Terra, in 2255AD. It is home to nearly 200 billion sophonts and has a rich culture and history.

The mythology of the Edur, a sophont species native to the cluster, may have influenced the choice of names for significant astrographic features in the region.

Other Astrographic Features

A variety of astrographic features make up the Demon Cluster:

Clusters and Traces

Rifts and Voids
