The Beetle class Hauler is a civilian smallcraft.
Description[edit]
This smallcraft is built around standardized 10-ton modules, that do not conform to the Third Imperium standard 30 class Modular Cutter Modules. Nonetheless, the modules serve a similar function, making the Beetle class Hauler truly multipurpose. As with the Modular Cutter, modules are not included in the official specification, though most often the Beetle class Hauler is equipped with 4 "plain/vanilla" cargo modules. At least one wealthy individual has turned their [[Beetle class Hauler] into a "party bus" with staterooms, a stage, a large bar, and private dining areas, worthy of a travelling music group. Among the more prosaic options are medical and workshop facilities.
Unusually for spacecraft built around modules, the Beetle class Hauler contains dedicated, spaceport quality fuel storage for its modules. Some of the module options for a Beetle class Hauler require extra power, so the Beetle comes with extra power in case it hosts those modules.
