Georgia is a high-population world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.

  • This world has an exploration base, which is similar to an Imperial Scout base, capable of handling explorer personnel and exploratory starships.
  • This is a hot world, with a climate of high temperatures.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

The system has a single primary star.

  • The worlds that make up the system follow near-Bodean orbits around it.
Georgia has a solitary primary star.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

The mainworld orbits within the star's habitable zone.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Georgia is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Georgia has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Georgia has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Satellites:[edit]

Georgia retains a small vacuum moon. It orbits the mainworld every few weeks.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No information yet available.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Primitive native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The system is bustling. There is a considerable amount of in-system activity.

  • Commercial vessels arrive and depart almost constantly
  • Commo is buzzing with chatter and signals.
  • Multiple navigation beacons are active.
  • Vessels travel between worlds and facilities within the system.

Georgia was the capital of the Republic of Georgia, an ancient Muirimi state.

The polity was founded around the year 200 and continued until around 1050, when it merged with other small states to form the Regency of Muirimi.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Georgia has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Georgia possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Government (G)[edit]

Position of Georgia within the Regency of Muirimi

Georgia is governed by a Religious Dictatorship. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy). There is a powerful independent organization, the state religion, which has influence or direct control of the government. Like the bureaucratic governments this may simply be a strong influence with a secular government, be direct influence by virtue of controlling who may be in the leadership, or be a direct theocracy where the church leadership and bureaucracy is the government.

  • Radical Sitaraism -- every physical thing is a gift of the star-deity and is the property of the church. Private ownership is blasphemy and theft.

World Military[edit]

Approximately 7.5 million personnel.

World Law (L)[edit]

Georgia has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. Most worlds with this law level may be an Amber Zone or Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). All aspects of life rigidly controlled. There is no difference between the police and the military. This world is a full-fledged police state. Oppression is legalized, though not routine.

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: A (abundant)
  • Labor: 8 (hundreds of millions)
  • Infrastructure: B (very extensive)
  • Efficiency: -1 (average)

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 1 (ordinary)

World Demographics (P)[edit]

Georgia has a population of 3,000,000,000

Urbanization[edit]

Multiple large cities, each surrounded by smaller satellite communities.

  • Cities are located across the world.
  • Regional centers have their own starports.
  • Some regions of the surface of the world remain as wilderness.

World Culture[edit]

  • Homogeneity: 4 (harmonious)
  • Acceptance: A (very friendly)
  • Strangeness: 3 (somewhat typical)
  • Symbols: B (abstract)

This world is part of the Muirimi culture.

  • The inhabitants of this world can trace their origins back to the central Asian and Indian subcontinent regions of Terra.
  • The religion of Sitaraism is followed.

World Timeline[edit]

  • ca -2100: Human settlement in the region begins.
