This bizarre little world was colonized around six thousand years ago by a sizable population of [[Zhodani]] fleeing political repression in the core worlds. After being forced to land upon this world due to failing jump drives, the exiles destroyed their colony ship and scattered the pieces by throwing them into the ocean. Forced to live off the land afterwards, their physiology diverged from the normal Zhodani baseline, as they adapted lungs and hemoglobin counts in response to the very low O2 level in their new home's atmosphere.

Enlas-du is an agricultural world with a tainted atmosphere but still a near-ideal environment for producing foodstuffs. The system supports a population of tens of millions of sophonts. It is a Human dominated Non-Aligned world in the Cronor Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Enlas-du is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Enlas-du has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Enlas-du has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

This bizarre little world was colonized around six thousand years ago by a sizable population of Zhodani fleeing political repression in the core worlds.

The Enlas are politically regressive, but have a very egalitarian culture.

The Zhodani re-contacted the world after the Second Frontier War, having been previously ignored by the Imperium. All records of the past events that led to the Enlas being present upon this world had been deliberately destroyed along with their ship, and the Consulate had lost all official records of the controversy as well. Hostility between the Consulate and the locals led the former not to incorporate the world into their empire, as the Enlas had kept their psionic culture, which would make it difficult for them to be absorbed.

After the Fifth Frontier War Vargr traders began appearing on the world; after the Collapse these brought immigrants from Gvurrdon Sector and established a state on unclaimed territory called the Hrgurek Collective. Citing the dangers posed by these outlaws, the Consulate built up a sizable naval presence, and the Travellers' Aid Society declared the world an Amber Zone. This pronouncement remains emplaced, as tensions between the Enlas and Zhodani have escalated following the excesses of the Dawn Heralders.
