Vegan Navy
The Vegan Navy is the primary military arm of the Vegan Polity or Vegan Autonomous District, the government of the sophont race known to Humans as the Vegans.

They have a relatively small navy with a huge army.
Mission (Goals)[edit]
The ability to design and build their own unique ships has always been seen as critical for maintaining some autonomy. Over-reliance on foreign assistance is seen as a long term strategic weakness. Security and protecting the independence of the Vegan people is the ultimate goal.
The Vegan state is not seen as aggressive or expansionistic.
Doctrine & Strategy (Operations)[edit]
The primary concern of naval doctrine is commerce protection. Business and trade are to be secure and profitable. The Vegans have a strong population base with several class-A starports to support autonomous fleet operations, logistics, repairs and maintenance services.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
During the eleventh and twelfth centuries Imperial, the Vegans have three fleets based at three Naval Bases inside their territory within the Solomani Rim Sector. The main naval headquarters is based on Muan Gwi. The other two battle fleets are located at Muan Kwoyen and at Hsuishlesh.

Three battle fleets stationed at the three Naval Bases within their territory. Each fleet has a HQ and logistic squadron, a defensive squadron and a strike squadron. Scout and Patrol elements are added as needed.
