Vegan Space
Vegan Space is the region of the Solomani Rim Sector which is controlled by Vegan sophonts of the Vegan Autonomous District, containing their homeworld of Muan Gwi. The majority of the inhabitants of these worlds are Vegans, but there are also numerous Solomani, Vilani, and other subgroups of Humaniti who inhabit some of the larger cities. Small numbers of other sophonts (such as Hivers, Vargr, Aslan, and even a few Droyne) are also found in the region. These subsectors of the Solomani Rim are economically powerful, with vast amounts of high-tech industries exploiting the resources of many planets, and a very well-organized and educated populace governed by a strong central civil service bureaucracy.
Significant damage to infrastructure during the Solomani Rim War has resulted in more than a century of subsequent rebuilding of cities and factories, and reconstruction of the Imperial fleets which are stationed at Muan Gwi and the other important naval bases around the Autonomous District. By the time of the Golden Age of the Third Imperium, the Vegans have generally recovered from the Solomani Rim War, and many of their extremely urbanized worlds have achieved TL-14; their District has become one of the most advanced, industrious, and heavily populated regions of the Imperium, containing several very powerful and important Counties.
