Subsector E of Blaskon Sector, within the Hive Federation.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The subsector is named for the Valaar Association, a multi-system Hive Federation member state.

The Valaar Subsector is rather underpopulated; there are no high-population worlds, and a fair number of systems have only small outposts or no population at all. There are, however, three native sophont species.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Valaar, subsector E of Blaskon, contains 30 worlds with an estimated combined population of 522 million, a per capita income of Cr2,603, and a total economy of BCr1,359. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr53 through 20 starports (7 Class A, 4 Class B, 5 Class C, 4 Class D) employing 8,505 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 6 (with most between 2 and 10). The highest technology level is 14 at Maaaa (Blaskon 0419).

Valaar, subsector E of Blaskon contains 41 stars and 343 identified planets; 19 monostellar systems, 11 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 30 systems (83%) have native gas giants. There are two Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, one Garden (Ga) world, four Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, eight Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Valaar has an estimated population of 522 million distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, nine Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, nine Low population (Lo) worlds, and seven Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Meuxu (Blaskon 0412). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups including three native sophonts.

4 identified sophont populations in Valaar
  • Meuxu of Meuxu: 180 million on their homeworld.
  • Hiver of Guaran (Ricenden 0827): 162 million on 23 worlds.
  • Daari of Valaar: 80 million on their homeworld and additional worlds.
  • Roapa of Roapa: 64 million on their homeworld.

Hive Federation[edit]

The Hive Federation has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 522 million, a per capita income of Cr2,603, and a total economy of BCr1,359.

The Hive Federation has an estimated population of 522 million within the subsector, distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, nine Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, nine Low population (Lo) worlds, and seven Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Meuxu (Blaskon 0412). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups including three native sophonts.
