Sherad has the population located in one or more dwarf planets or planetesimals in a co-orbital position, an asteroid belt. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Atsah Subsector of Deneb Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Sherad, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.

Era: New Era

Sherad is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and barren in nature with no overt population, government, or law level.

  • These worldlets would warrant hazardous environment precautions if anyone lived here.
  • They could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so... This world was once settled and developed, but the inhabitants have either died off or left leaving behind the remnants of their civilization. It is a unclaimed Non-Aligned world in the Atsah Subsector of Deneb Sector.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

This system is part of the Atadl Cluster.

Stellar Data[edit]

Sherad has a solitary primary star.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Sherad Asteroid Group is the last starport on the xboat route leading coreward from the Deneb Sector.

Sherad was settled soon after the founding of the Third Imperium, and by 100 the world helped form a strong industrial base in Atsah Subsector. In 200 the subsector was admitted into the Imperium.

In the 600s Sherad was specifically chosen by Emperess Arbellatra herself for the xboat route entering Deneb, in part to voice her discontent at more powerful worlds in Atsah that had not joined the Imperium.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]

Sherad, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Sherad has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Sherad has a population of 90,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The following languages are spoken here:

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Sherad possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

World Government (G)[edit]

Sherad is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.

  • Each "Rock" with 500 or more registered inhabitants sends a representative to Rock Shurkan every four years. This Shurkan Council directs the overall government and sets system legal policy.

World Military[edit]

No information yet available.

World Law (L)[edit]

Sherad has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Economy[edit]
