Sherad has the population located in one or more dwarf planets or planetesimals in a co-orbital position, an asteroid belt. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Atsah Subsector of Deneb Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Sherad, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.

Era: New Era

Sherad is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and barren in nature with no overt population, government, or law level.

  • These worldlets would warrant hazardous environment precautions if anyone lived here.
  • They could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so... This world was once settled and developed, but the inhabitants have either died off or left leaving behind the remnants of their civilization. It is a unclaimed Non-Aligned world in the Atsah Subsector of Deneb Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Sherad Asteroid Group is the last starport on the xboat route leading coreward from the Deneb sector. Each "Rock" with 500 or more registered inhabitants sends a representative to Rock Shurkan every four years. This Shurkan Council directs the overall government and sets system legal policy.

Sherad was settled soon after the founding of the Third Imperium, and by 100 the world helped form a strong industrial base in Atsah subsector. In 200 the subsector was admitted into the Imperium. In the 600s Sherad was specifically chosen by Emperess Arbellatra herself for the xboat route entering Deneb, in part to voice her discontent at more powerful worlds in Atsah that had not joined the Imperium.

Lurent planetoid ships may be found, trading, in the inner system or in the system’s Oort clouds, refuelling.

Tukera Lines operates offices and maintenance facilities out of Sherad.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]

Sherad, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.
