Shen Tsi is an agricultural, nonindustrial, pre-rich garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most sophonts, but still lacks an adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.

• As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
• It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Chang-Tu Subsector of Theron Sector.

• This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.

Shen Tsi is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Shen Tsi has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Shen Tsi has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Shen Tsi is a quiet backwater with a slowly growing economy and gradually improving standards of living.

• Settlement within the system comes from spinward, from the heavily populated worlds of Theta Borealis Sector.
• The resources of the mainworld are being exploited.

A few organizations and private interests are active within the system.

• Commercial traffic is relatively frequent: ships occasionally arrive and depart.
• Commo regularly picks up signals and private chatter. Communications are in Riftian Anglic.
• One or two commercial navigation beacons will be active.
• Vessels rarely operate among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

World Starport (St)

Shen Tsi has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

• The shipping corporation Baylor-Ator Lines moves products through this port.
