Subsector D of Corridor Sector.
This subsector is named due to its Imperial territory being a strip only a few parsecs wide. The Great Rift is on one side and Vargr states are on the other. The Narrows is one of the most strategically important regions in Imperial space. The economy of the Narrows benefits from trade passing through Corridor to the Domain of Deneb and coreward into Vargr space, as well as through proximity to the long-developed worlds of Vland Sector.
Description[edit]
The Narrows Subsector is defended by 133rd Fleet and the 134th Fleet.
There is a native sophont species, the Ojehshodu, who share their world with Vargr colonists.

Astrographic Features[edit]
Chosen Cluster[edit]
Three worlds in the subsector are part of the Chosen Cluster.
The cluster consists of eleven systems in Corridor's Beta Quadrant, outside of the Third Imperium. It is sandwiched between the Ushamla Main (to Spinward and Rimward) and the Windhorn's Edge Trace (to Coreward and Trailing).
Ushamla Main[edit]
Three spinward worlds of the subsector are part of the Ushamla Main.
The Ushamla Main is the largest of a group of small Mains lying in the region of Balkanized Space between Provence Sector and Corridor Sector.
- Inhabitants of the region are sometimes referred to as Highwaymen.
It lies to rimward of the New Vland Cluster and the Chosen Cluster.
- It has 34 member systems.
A basic chart depicting the main and its neighbours is shown, right:
- Worlds lying within the New Vland Cluster are highlighted in gray.
- Worlds lying within the Chosen Cluster, to coreward, are highlighted in tan.
- Worlds lying on the Ushamla Main, to rimward, are highlighted in tan.
Windhorn's Edge Trace[edit]
Many of the worlds of the subsector are members of the Windhorn's Edge Trace, a trade route running between Provence Sector and Corridor Sector. It is a small Main.
- It has 34 member systems.
- A few of its coreward worlds lie within the Irrgh Manifest, a Vargr polity.
- Its central worlds run through Balkanized Space.
- Some of its rimward worlds are members of the Imperium.
A basic chart of the Trace is shown, right:
- Worlds lying on the Trace are highlighted in tan.
