Longbow Corporation/secret
The Longbow Corporation ((LIC)) was created by the Imperium to provide logistics support exclusively to Project Longbow II. The company exclusively uses the Type TJ Class Merchant although all are disguised as the Type TI Class Merchant. This was done to relieve the logistics burden on closely affiliated Imperiallines, aka the Office of Personal Transportation (OPT), the Emperor's personal intelligence service, for the Emperor's own secret courier network.
This project will use the entire width of the Imperium as its long baseline with its sensor termini located in the Spinward Marches Sector and Antares Sectors. Longbow Corporation ((LIC)) operates their fleet of their Type TJ Class Merchants across this entire route. Project Longbow II data will be collected at all of the listening points along the "bowline" and carried by jump-6 Longbow Corporation Type TJ Class Merchant couriers to its "focal point" at Depot/Lishun. The vessels also support the logistics needs of the stations across the bowline.
Longbow Corporation Type TJ Class Merchant crews are pulled from the various Imperiallines companies, and, occasionally, from screened members of the IISS and Imperial Navy. The Type TJ Class Merchant vessels themselves are built under contract by GSbAG's Zhunastu Shipbuilding subsidiary and are equipped with gravitics, reactionless thrusters, and inertial compensator systems by Arkayne LIC and with fusion rocketry systems by Phylum U'Chakzii-Ziask SIA. The ship's transponder will always show it to be a Type TI Class Merchant. Officially, the Type TJ Class Merchant does not exist.
To help defray the extensive costs of Project Longbow II, including the Longbow Corporation, the Emperor's turned to some discrete investors who could assist - House Shiishuginsa was only too happy to assist and was easily able to bring along Vilani megacorporation Zirunkariish.
