Zhunastu Shipbuilding LIC was a wholly owned subsdidary of the former Imperial megacorporation Zhunastu Industries LIC, that was owned and controlled by the Zhunastu family. The emphasis of Zhunastu Shipbuilding was on shipbuilding (both civilian and military). In its day, Zhunastu Shipbuilding was the leader in Charted Space in ship design, and had by far the largest market share in its field.

While the Zhunastu family didn't occupy the Imperial throne between 54 and 244, they continued to run the company. Cleon III's utter madness at running the Imperium also extended to the corporation, where he terrorized the board of directors and division heads alike. By the time Cleon III was assassinated in 245 by Porfiria and the Moot, the corporation was in complete disarray. The various companies and divisions were closed, spun off, or bought up by other companies. By 265, Zhunastu Industries had ceased to exist.

In 260, GSbAG set its sights on Zhunastu Shipbuilding and its assets, especially its goodwill within the Imperium and its intellectual property. With the assistance of the Vilani megacorporation Zirunkariish, GSbAG bought the subsidiary and folded it into its business. Under GSbAG, Zhunastu Shipbuilding remains a leader in ship design and construction for both military and civilian vessels.
