Lispid is an icy, barren vacuum world, with no overt population, government, or law level, which would warrant hazardous environment precautions if anyone lived here.
- Its surface is ice-capped with little or no atmosphere and nearly all of its water frozen.
- This world could be populated by a determined group if they had an inclination to do so...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Warzone (Iphigenaia) Subsector of Iphigenaia Sector.
- This die back world was once settled and developed, but the inhabitants have either died off or left, leaving behind the ruins and remnants of their civilization.
- It is a mainworld which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- Vacuum worlds have no climate, but experience extreme differences in temperature between direct starlight and shade.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Lispid is a binary star system.
- The primary is an orange main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x4 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Lispid is a satellite of a ringed gas giant.
The mainworld and its gas giant primary orbit within the outer system.
- They receive very low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Lispid is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Lispid has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Lispid has 05-15% of its surface covered by ice, either in vast sheets or contained deep within craters or fractures on the surface. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants can be got by mining and melting ice.
- The surface of the world is composed of a crust of ice many kilometers thick.
- Much of the surface is cratered and covered in regolith and thick dust of meteoric origin, leaving only around 10% of the icy outer shell exposed.
- Below the outer icy shell is a world-ocean of liquid water.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive sub-ice native life.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Lispid is a frontier, a wild and lonely place that rarely sees visitors. It has the abandoned remains of a mineral extraction facility on its surface.
- Information about the system is limited.
- The resources of the system are untapped.
There is normally no activity within the system.
- Commercial traffic is extremely rare: the system sees very few visiting ships.
- Commo only picks up natural background noise and static.
- A single commercial navigation beacon may be active.
- Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date: previously undocumented groups may now inhabit the system and maintain their own culture, forms of government, and systems of law.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Lispid has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Lispid is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
Urbanization[edit]
A ruined central facility surrounded by small derelict outposts.
- Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Lispid has a die back Tech Level of TL–3.
- It's Tech Level was higher when it was settled but over time the remains have degraded.
- The world has no functioning technological base.
Salvage
- Remains on this world include worked raw materials, metals and alloys, and mechanical components.
- These may be salvaged.
World Government (G)[edit]
Lispid has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
Lispid has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 4 (scarce)
- Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 0 (none)
- Acceptance: 0 (none)
- Strangeness: 0 (none)
- Symbols: 0 (none)
World Timeline[edit]

- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published.
