Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Lintl is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Lintl has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Lintl has 85-95% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few small continents, and a number of islands and archipelagos. Dry land is limited. Wilderness refueling is possible.

History & Background[edit]

Lintl is a cold, high-population world and the Imperial capital of Vestus Subsector.

  • The Imperium administration is located at the mainworld's orbital Highport, with only an embassy on-world.
  • Access to Lintl itself, other than the Downport, is restricted.

World Starport[edit]

Lintl has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Lintl has a population of 40,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).

Local Religion[edit]

The 39 billion inhabitants of Lintl are bound by the constraints of the local religion (Universal_Religion_Profile A74015-A).

  • Lintl is governed by three autarch-priests, who interpret and execute the demands of the faith.
  • In Lintlian belief, all beings are elements of a mass consciousness, the Totality. The Totality is defined as the sum of all individual minds. By living according to the standards of the faith, each individual can maintain his contact with the Totality after death; otherwise, he is condemned to an endless future of complete mental isolation.
  • The autarch-priests have inculcated this belief into the minds of the populace, linking the world's laws with the religion of the masses. Despite Lintl's high population, order is maintained through a dogma of fear.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Lintl possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Lintl is governed by a Religious Autocracy. This is a direct theocracy where the government head is a single person who is also the head of the religious organization. The Church hierarchy also serves as the government bureaucracy.

World Law (L)[edit]

Lintl has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. Most worlds with this law level may be an Amber Zone or Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. There is no difference between the police and the military. This world is a full-fledged police state. Oppression is legalized, though not routine.
