The Universal Religion Profile is a series of seven codes describing the various aspects of a religion.

Description (Specifications)[edit]
Religions begins as an attempt to explain the world and the many questions of life, the universe, and existence. Religions often evolve into philosophical schools which set down modes of conduct intended to lead the believer to a better existence.

| 1 | God View | Description of the religion's belief in one or many supreme beings and their role in everyday life |
| 2 | Spiritual Aim | Dominant belief |
| 3 | Devotion Required | Degree of religion-oriented activities for believers in everyday life |
| 4 | Organizational Structure | Significant roles or administrative structures within the religion |
| 5 | Liturgical Formality | Degree to which the religion organizationally controls and directs the devotions of the believers |
| 6 | Missionary Fervor | Degree to which believers search for and recruit new converts |
| 7 | Number | Number of adherents, based upon an order of magnitude equivalent to a UWP population code |
