Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Kure is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Kure has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Kure has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water. There will be a number of small seas or one larger body of water. Wilderness refueling is possible.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport (St)[edit]

Kure has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Kure has a population of 70,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Kure possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Kure is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.

Specifically, Kure's governing council consists of business owners and leaders of technical bureaus such as the Office of Agriculture and the Office of Waste Management. Individual citizens have considerable input into the system; employees of the various bureaus are regularly consulted on important matters, and the Council is required by law to consider the “Citizens’ Vote” in all issues.

World Military[edit]

The navy of Kure is small, and exists mainly to protect local commerce.

World Economy[edit]

Most of the world's income comes from starship construction and from operating commercial freighters along the Tsavo Reach and into Glimmerdrift Reaches Sector.

Relations[edit]

Kure is friendly with the Corporate Republic of Kobe, and they trade regularly. Relations with Greater Osaka are less cordial, as a result of long-standing trade disputes.
