Horten is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and barren in nature with no overt population, government, or law level.
- These worldlets would warrant hazardous environment precautions if anyone lived here.
- They could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Babadur Subsector of Theron Sector.
- This die back world was once settled and developed, but the inhabitants have either died off or left, leaving behind the ruins and remnants of their civilization.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Horten has a solitary primary star.
- It is a turbulent red giant.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x2 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Horten is an asteroid belt mainworld.
It orbits towards the outer edge of its star's habitable zone.
- It receives relatively low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Horten is an Asterioid Belt or Planetoid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects. Asteroid Belt is used when the belt is the mainworld of a system. Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Horten is an Asteroid Belt, where all the bodies are in vacuum conditions requiring the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle a belt.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
The belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.
- Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
- Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The system's huge primary star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Horten does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Horten has a die back Tech Level of TL–3.
- The world has no functioning technological base.
Salvage
- Remains on this world include complex mechanical components, worked metals, and raw materials.
- These may be salvaged.
World Government (G)[edit]
Horten has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
Horten has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: C (very abundant)
- Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
