Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Gvurrnakhth class Fleet Escort is a light warship.
- It is a military ship and a Fleet Escort.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Gvurrnakhth was purchased as surplus from a Vargr planetary navy and refitted to TL-12 standards in weaponry and electronics by a corsair band. It still carries the original complement of TL-11 fighters and landers, virtually identical to the Sword Worlds Nymph and Sprite classes respectively. The Gvurrnakhth can operate for 28.8 days at full power, or 35 days with no weapons power usage.
Primary weapon system are three missile launch bays, supplemented by two triple missile turrets, three triple beam laser turrets, two double plasma gun turrets, and six triple sandcaster turrets. This firepower is supplemented by eight 40 ton fighters and eight 40 ton landers, the latter usually used to land the troop complement under the protective covering fire of the Gvurrnakhth.
