- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army Nautical Force Command is Sea Admiral.
In other services:
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Navy is Fleet Admiral (Full Admiral).
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The rank "General" was derived from the person appointed as the "General officer commanding the field army". It is a shortened form of the ancient term "Captain-General" or "Colonel-General". Some local Colonial and Planetary Forces still use "Colonel General" for their senior-most General Officer rank, but the Imperium does not use the title within the rank structure of the Unified Armies of the Imperium.
