Dudin is a high population industrial world with a population over a billion sophonts. There is an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids. This world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space.  The world has a colony on Ushkhir (Dagudashaag 0129). It is a member of Third Imperium in the Zeda Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Amec Trade Protectorate and the Domain of Vland. Dudin, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdoms of a count and a minor duke. All three are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Dudin. The Nahuatl name of the world is Metlicoyotl.

History and background

Dudin is one of the major population centers of the Amec Trade Protectorate. The entire planet is encircled by a chain of space stations linked together by solar generator, tunnels, and mono-filament. The planetary rulers live in this orbital habitat. On the planet, most live beneath the shallow seas in crowed manufacturing enclaves spread over the ocean bead. The majority of the population are Ntu tribesman.

Starting in 1110 and over the next five years in excess of five thousand individuals have suddenly and mysteriously combusted for no known reason. Even outsiders have been subjected to the phenomenon which seems to favor young males. The current theory favors the cause to be self-induced through an untraceable drug. The Nauhyotl (planetary governor) has promised all efforts are made to resolve this strange and disturbing event.
