Bullard is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and both non-agricultural and preindustrial in nature.
- These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- Despite the challenges of living on asteroid colonies, this settlement is at a moderate population status of over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in size.
- The worldlets are, for the most part, unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- These worldlets are working towards being an industrial world but lack adequate resources to do so. Local leaders are diligently working towards the expansion of this settlement's industrial manufacturing capability.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Darkshade Subsector of Mavuzog Sector.
- Bullard lies on the edge of the Talokan Void.
- It orbits the system's secondary star.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Bullard is a trinary star system.
- The primary is a turbulent white bright giant.
- The secondary is a yellow main sequence.
- The tertiary is a red main sequence.
Bullard has three stars in the star system. Primary

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld. It orbits the secondary star.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds. Three orbit the secondary star, two orbit the tertiary star.
- x3 planetoid belts. All three orbit the primary star.
- x4 gas giants. Three orbit the secondary star, one orbits the tertiary star.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Bullard is an asteroid belt mainworld.
The belt orbits within the secondary star's outer system.
- It receives very low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Bullard is an Asterioid Belt or Planetoid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects. Asteroid Belt is used when the belt is the mainworld of a system. Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Bullard is an Asteroid Belt, where all the bodies are in vacuum conditions requiring the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle a belt.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
The Bullard belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.
- Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
- Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held chart of the belt exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
(Placeholder chart, asteroid belt.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The system's huge primary star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport[edit]
Bullard has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Bleeq has a population of 700,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
World Technology Level[edit]
Bullard possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government[edit]
Bullard is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
