Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Aum-rhar orbits a single primary, a K-type orange star known as Lemente.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- A single moon, Ilynd, orbits the world and is home to a few thousand residents.
- x7 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants: Auohrn, Sswaou, Rhn-wafft, Mnang-hft

Mainworld Data[edit]
Day length is 26 standard hours.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Aum-rhar is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Aum-rhar has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Aum-rhar has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
Fungal analogues have not evolved on Aum-rhar. The role of decomposers is performed by a wide variety of bacteria, some of which are large enough to be seen with the naked eye.
Flora includes the Maa'shh plant (its soot used to make traditional Rr-vyshh ink) and the Sh'eech'fft (its fibres used to make traditional paper).
Fauna includes the following:
- Raairvach: Large solitary herbivores known for their foul temper.
- Shfraavsht: The blood of this animal is used in an alcoholic beverage.
- Terrondat: A savage cat-like solitary predator, and a distant relation to the Tezcat.
- Thraktosh: A large herbivore; its bones are used to create traditional weapons. Now extinct.
- Vatya: Large herd creatures domesticated by prehistoric Tezcat.
- Zhaat: Squat, quadrupedal carnivores known for eating carrion and offal. They sometimes infest cities.
- Zianki: Large herbivores, a common Tezcat food animal.
The animal life on Aum-rhar tends to be short-tempered and aggressive. Even small herbivores are more likely to turn and attack a predator than flee.
Native Sophont: Tezcat[edit]
Xenophobic feline-esque beings
Native Sophont: Varaku[edit]
Amphibious reptilians, believed extinct
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Homeworld of the Tezcat.
- The system is also known as Lemente, which is simply the Tezcat word for 'The Sun'.
Aum-rhar is the capital of the loose empire of Tezcat settlements known as the Lemente Ezva Har'Tez.
World Starport[edit]
Aum-rhar has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Aum-rhar has a population of 8,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
- The population consists of Tezcat.
World Languages[edit]
- A'Prur
- Alternatively transcribed as A'Pur, this is also the name of the nation in which the language was first used.
Urbanization[edit]
Tezcat cities are typically found near coastlines and waterways. Randomly interspersed throughout the cities are hunting parks where Tezcat can relax and hunt, either for sport or for sustenance. Industry is typically located in orbit, so cities are clean and unpolluted. Power is generated almost exclusively by fusion plants.
Buildings most commonly take the form of pyramids with a glass covered or open courtyard in the centre. Heights range from only a few stories to over 100, with religious, government and corporate buildings being the largest. Natural materials are favored for construction; huge carved stones of marble, granite, or basalt.
World Government (G)[edit]
Aum-rhar is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
The government of Aum-rhar is like that of the Tezcat Solar Hegemony itself, in that it has an upper and lower house. The upper house comprises Shaper priests elected to those positions by the church clergy and has veto rights on all bills put forward by the lower house on religious or moral grounds. The lower house comprises individuals elected to those positions by voters; military veterans and Shaper priests comprise the electorate. Unlike the Solar Hegemony, the lower house has an executive branch headed by a hruavist, who has veto rights on all legislation brought forward. This individual is elected by popular vote of the Shaper priests in the upper house.
- Committee for Finance
- Committee for Planetary Ground Defence
- Committee for Education
World Law (L)[edit]
Aum-rhar has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
- The judiciary system is convoluted. There are several law enforcement agencies, each with an area of specialisation. Conflicts occur where crime falls under the jurisdiction of multiple authorities. In these cases, authorities are expected to cooperate but competition and resentment are often fierce.
- While the Shaper religion heavily influences all laws, there is a separate police force comprising solely of Shaper priests, which deal exclusively with religious law infractions.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Aum-rhar possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
- Weapons technology is slightly more advanced, at a late TL-12 with some very early TL-13 capabilities. Computer technology is lower at a mature TL-11. Medical technology is only at a mature TL-10.
World Culture[edit]
The Tezcat civilization is tight-knit, deeply spiritual, xenophobic, draconian in its legal practices, and generally egalitarian.
Tezcat enjoy wearing body jewellery, particularly in their ears and tails. Most Tezcat have at least one piercing in their ears and the tip of their tail and sometimes on the lips, brows or other locations. Tezcat military and paramilitary insignia consist of jewelled earrings which denote branch and rank or rating. Claw sheaths, designed to cover the tips of the fingers and the claws, are also commonly worn by both sexes.
