Pradman is a pre-agricultural, pre-Industrial world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts.
- It requires significant imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to slowly improve barring outside forces.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Pryden Subsector of Lishun Sector in the Domain of Antares.

History & Background / Dossier[edit]
Pradman was settled by Humans during the Rule of Man. During the Long Night, the world's terraformed environment was not far enough along to be self-sustaining, and slowly decayed over the next 1,700 years. Scouts of the new Third Imperium were therefore surprised to find a thriving low tech culture on the degraded world. The locals had managed to develop a sophisticated series of chemical and ritual protections from the hostile environment, to the point that Humans could survive, even flourish, on Pradman. The locals today still use the ancient folk techniques to adapt to the hostile environment. The effects are successful enough that locals can live unprotected for years at a time in the natural environment before more "treatments" become necessary.
Imperial High / Landed Nobility[edit]
Pradman, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the estate and fiefdoms of three members of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight, the Imperial representative to the world.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial baronet.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial marquis.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial viscount.
World Starport[edit]
Pradman has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Technology Level[edit]
Pradman possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government[edit]
Pradman has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
- Pradman has two major nations: the eponymous Pradman and Wamic. Originally a colony of convicted criminals founded centuries ago, Wamic has recently been recognized as a true sovereign nation by Pradman. Border disputes and skirmishes are still common, hence the world's Amber Zone travel rating.
