Government & Politics (Leadership)
This polity has officially been ruled by Prince Rashid II for more than 200 years. Rashid has remained in suspended animation at the edge of death since 894. In his name, a series of regents rules the Principality at the head of the Council of Notables.
Interstellar Relations
The Principality has a fractious relationship with the Mapepire Cluster, with the Principality accusing Mapepire of supporting piracy in the space surrounding its territory.
The I'Sred*Ni Protectorate refuses to permit the Principality of Bruhkarr to trade at Web Edge (Beyond 2514). As with their exclusion of the Floriani, the Sred*Ni provide no explanation. It is known that Protectorate ships have come into conflict with Bruhkarri ships in neutral space; the Bruhkarri claim the Protectorate was the aggressor.

Era: 1200
The Principality of Bruhkarr has been an Imperial Client State for 250 years. It thrived under the umbrella of Imperial protection. However, cracks began to appear about 100 years ago with the death of the Prince. The Bruhkarran Assembly, a group of the most powerful nobles in the Principality, fought over the succession. Eventually a compromise was reached which put the Romaran House in charge. This house was a minor noble house with very little political power. It produced a string of ruling Princes who ruled only as long as the Assembly was happy.
Now, as external forces are beginning to put on pressure, the Principality is riddled with dissension and blood feuds between noble houses. There have been a dozen small scale shooting wars in the last ten years. Death duels and assassinations have cut down many strong leaders.
Visitors could find this area dangerous. Although fighting usually only involves house forces of the nobility, bystanders can be caught in the crossfire. However, a merchant dealing in weapons or mercenaries could do well in the fighting in this region.
