Derchon has a trace atmosphere and the little amount of surface water is in a frozen state. The system supports a population in between 10 million and one billion sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Lunion Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Derchon, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and the fiefdom of a marquis. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel.

• It is a world working toward being an industrial powerhouse but lacks an adequate workforce to do so. It must now import many of its manufactured and high tech goods. It is a member of Regency of Deneb in the Lunion Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector. This world contains a Regency Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel.

Point of Interest: Derchon Anomaly

In early 1102, an unidentified object transited the outer reaches of the Derchon (Spinward Marches 2024) system, following a roughly Coreward-Coreward-Trailing vector. It was traveling at such high velocity (estimated 0.12C) that no ship could possibly intercept it.

Sensor data revealed that that:

1. The object had a high albedo.
2. It was spinning or tumbling rapidly.
3. Its mass was in the 1,000-2,000 ton range.
4. It was highly radioactive.

Although the object was not under acceleration, these facts argue strongly in favor of some type of artificial construction. Investigation of this object by the Derchon Anomaly Intercept Mission (DAIMISS) in 1103 revealed it to be a derelict spacecraft associated with the legendary Ahaja Bucherei and his fellow Dru'mhilla exiles.
