Palatine Sector is an interstellar wilderness, an unpopulated and totally undeveloped region. Starfaring sophonts are not known to have been active in the sector since the Last Armada, more than three millennia ago.

Vessels of the Last Armada may have entered the extreme coreward-trailing quadrant of Palatine Sector some time prior to 2255AD as it fled the Destruction of Terra. It is believed that the Armada travelled coreward through Laurent's Dagger before entering Kalash Sector.

- Demon's Eye (1621 Far Home Sector). The intensely luminous blue supergiant primary star of the system, lying around 95 parsecs to spinward, can be clearly seen from all of the worlds lying within Palatine Sector.
