The 74th Fleet is the Numbered Imperial fleet serving the Third Imperium stationed in the Macon Subsector of the Reft Sector.

There are three squadrons affiliated with this border defense fleet. Most administrative decisions and support are routed from the Zeng Subsector coreward.

74th Fleet was heavily engaged in fighting Vampires that crossed the Rift from trailing Reft Sector, or from Corridor. Like most frontier fleets, the Riders have more squadrons than the norm, but the problems of operations in the Rift meant that less emphasis was placed on heavy capitol ships.
