Duni is a non-agricultural and nonindustrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It has few prospects for economic development.
- The world serves as the subsector capital with the significant extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Addison Subsector of Alpha Crucis Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)
Duni is a vacuum world located in Addison Subsector of Alpha Crucis Sector. The system is a member of the Solomani Confederation and contains a naval base.
- Duni was colonized by the Commonwealth of Gadjick in 761 but the colony was soon abandoned. In the 890s Solomani colonists from Yazuz B (Alpha Crucis 2823) resettled Duni, establishing mining and space yard industries. In 1085 the Commonwealth of Gadjick, which had never renounced their old claim, launched a surprise invasion, quickly overwhelming the world’s small Home Guard. However, in 1086 the Confederation launched Operation Black Swan, retaking Duni and smashing Gadjick’s naval base at Potena (Alpha Crucis 3129). The brief Duni War cost 10,000 lives, mostly on the Gadjick side, and was considered a Confederation success.
